Frontend Developer (REACT AND NODE)

JOB TITLE: FRONTEND DEVELOPER (REACT AND NODE)

TERM: 12+ MONTHS

LOCATION: SUNNYVALE, CA (INITIAL REMOTE)

Job Description

1. Build performant SPAs using React, Redux, Next.js, NX, React Query, GraphQL, HTML5, JavaScript, Typescript, and CSS3.
2. Experience in testing frameworks React Testing Library, Jest.
3. Understand the Business/Customer/Technical requirements and assist in analyzing the existing solutions to address the needs.
4. Monitor and debug production applications using Splunk, Dynatrace to pinpoint root causes and fix bugs.
5. Improve the quality of software systems for Walmart.com using industry best practices for code quality, accessibility, and usability.
6. Assist in the selection of appropriate languages, development standards, and tools for software coding/configuration.
7. Understanding of cloud technologies and designing solutions deployed to Azure, GCP, or AWS.
8. Work collaboratively with other software engineers and teams to improve performance, stability, and resource consumption.
9. Ensure security policy requirements are properly applied to components/application during code development/configuration.
10. Experience with Agile development lifecycle methodology.
11. Execute test cases to test the code and detect errors and defects for the entire component.
12. Track and analyze defects for the component/module and carry out regression testing to fix defects in all instances of code changes.
13. Participate in the discovery phase of small to medium projects to come up with a high-level design by partnering with the product management, Web Operations, project management, business, and user experience teams.
14. Utilize performance tuning and analytics tools like Splunk, Dynatrace to monitor and identify frontend performance issues and provide solutions to improve performance and scalability.
15. Create and maintain continuous integration and deployment systems using Jenkins and git.
16. Knowledge of SEO techniques, understanding of SEO principles, and familiarity with modern debugging skills.
