Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is experiencing unprecedented growth. As a result, we have a full-time position available for a mechanical/utilities engineer. Responsibilities include conducting job-site surveys of food and beverage plants and utility systems; developing project documentation including drawings, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID's), equipment schedules, details, specifications, scope of work, etc.; selecting and applying system equipment to new and existing systems; and coordinating technical specifications, delivery requirements, and quotation parameters with outside equipment suppliers, subcontractors, and clients. Frequent (30-40%) travel will be required.

The successful candidate must have all of the following:
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering
- At least five years of relevant mechanical engineering experience
- PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in other states
- Experience with food plant projects
- HVAC experience
- Experience developing piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for food and/or industrial projects
- Chilled water/hydronic design experience
- Familiarity with managing project invoices
- Experience mentoring less experienced staff
