Zero-Max is currently recruiting for a CAD Designer who will utilizes computer-aided drafting techniques to prepare detailed drawings for Zero-Max products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Prepares a variety of detailed drawings, usually from semi-completed engineering sketches or layouts prepared by others
  • Prepares a variety of assembly layouts from verbal instructions
  • Maintains product structure and routing database for all Zero-Max products in Epicor
  • Makes a variety of dimensional calculations following standard procedures and using tables.
  • Assists Engineers and other CAD Designers in preparing detailed drawings for other products.
Requirements
Qualifications

Education/Experience
  • Associate or Technical Degree with 5 years of relevant design experience or, equivalent combination of education and CAD/Drafting experience.
  • Must have mechanical drafting knowledge and experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances.
  • Must have knowledge of SolidWorks, with preferred experience with Autodesk Inventor.
  • Knowledge of ERPs (Epicor) a plus
Requirements
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Write simple reports and correspondence.
  • Communicate effectively with employees of our organization.
  • Most or all data is supplied in such forms as to require little interpretation, but some discretion and independent judgment may be required in showing tolerance dimensions and other essential characteristics to make drawings clear and complete.
  • Receive feedback from Engineers
