Electrical Designer

Position purpose

The Electrical Designer creates electrical fabrication (panel layout/schematic) drawings and documents for production.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

• Review project requirements
• Produce drawings based on specs
• Interact with sales and project engineering to resolve questions
• Revise drawings to meet customer final requirements
• Create BOM and do calculations to ensure accuracy
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in drafting/design
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD/Electrical
• Strong ability to read drawings, as well as P&ID
• Strong knowledge of circuitry and electrical codes
• Strong knowledge of UL508A industrial control panel design
• Demonstrate ability to read and understand complex specifications
