Principal Product Manager - Developer Experience

OVERVIEW

We're partnering with a global fintech client to find a Principal Product Manager to lead the platform products team. The ideal candidate is a software developer turned product leader who can drive the technical vision to succeed in the dynamic cross-border financial services industry.

You will be responsible for leading the Developer Experience product, enabling internal teams to build with speed and efficiency. We're looking for a proven product leader with expertise in platform development who uses qualitative and quantitative data to create products that delight both partners and consumers.

You will thrive in this role if you excel in a fast-paced environment with diverse stakeholders and can prioritize their needs based on data and ROI. You'll report to the VP of Product and collaborate with a large engineering team to achieve your roadmap and goals. This is an individual contributor role.

• Salary Range: $168,000 – 210,000 DOE
• Must be located in the Greater Seattle Area – this is a hybrid role and requires 2-3 days (50% in-office) a week at the Client’s Seattle, WA headquarters.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deeply understand the needs of developers, partners, and end consumers. Use these insights to inform product design, roadmap development, and effectively lead prioritization efforts across multiple stakeholders.
• Conduct thorough market research, customer feedback, and align with business goals to define, prioritize, and refine features, user stories, and requirements. Ensure that product development efforts are strategically focused and data-driven.
• Collaborate with and influence various teams across the company to further extend the company’s platform capabilities
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to establish clear and measurable success metrics for various developer tools. Consider both short-term and long-term goals to ensure that these metrics effectively track progress and contribute to the overall success of the product.
• Cultivate a collaborative and innovative culture within the team, fostering an environment where idea generation and problem-solving are encouraged to continuously enhance and improve the developer platforms.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 8+ years of Product Management experience
• 3+ years of experience building consumer-facing platform products (SDK, API, or Data Schema experience required)
• A proven history of successfully launching, scaling, and iterating on platform products, coupled with a deep understanding of embedded mobile and web interfaces.
• Demonstrated experience in successfully launching new products from ideation through scaling
• You possess the unique ability to both envision and execute, seamlessly transitioning from shaping high-level strategic initiatives to actively rolling up your sleeves and diving into the tactical details to ensure successful implementation.
• You're adept at delving into the complexities, carefully evaluating the impacts of challenging technical trade-offs. You skillfully strike a balance between achieving short-term results and ensuring long-term success and impact.
• You thrive on fostering strong partnerships and motivating cross-functional teams across engineering, UI design, analytics, and various other departments.
• You possess the ability to make decisive judgment calls even when data is limited. You thrive in ambiguous situations and adeptly navigate competing priorities.
