Network Security Engineer

Job Title: Network Consulting Engineer for Security

Individual will serve as a team member for extended engagements.

Role & Responsibilities

1. Provide consulting services including Security Optimization Subscription, Security Design Assessment, Security Design / Configuration Reviews, and Cisco security product implementations.
2. Responsible for finalization and delivery of reports for each consulting engagement.
3. Prepare and deliver formal presentations for senior (C-level) executives.
4. Develop and maintain software tools to enhance Cisco consulting services.
5. Contribute directly to Cisco's knowledge management initiatives by documenting and briefing other Cisco security consultants on lessons learned from engagements and by developing new methodologies for delivering services.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Position requires BS in a technical field or equivalent experience; CCIE desirable.
2. A minimum of 4-6 years’ experience in systems/network security administration.
3. Experience designing, implementing and troubleshooting network security for enterprise customers (preferably within a datacenter environment).
4. Extensive experience in security configuration of network and security devices in a large enterprise environment (routers, switches, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems).
5. Experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting one (1) or more of the following Cisco security technologies: ISE, IPS/SourceFire, ASA, CSM, VPN.
6. Detailed understanding of TCP/IP protocols and detailed understanding of routing protocols (OSPF, RIP, EIGRP, BGP) and layer 2 protocols and technologies.
7. Expert-level knowledge in network security design, architecture and implementation; System-administrator level knowledge of multiple UNIX variants.
8. In-depth knowledge of systems and network security.
