Job Description
The Sr. Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer develops, maintains, and implements relevant tools, policies and procedures to protect the security and privacy of information from intentional or unintentional damage; Performs assessments to ensure compliance with internal security standards and regulatory requirements; Assists in trouble-shooting security concerns and provides regular status updates of system security.
Federal Government customers’ Cybersecurity requirements continue to evolve and tolerance of non-compliance to mandates is vanishing. Features such as PKI and HBSS require extensive integration with our products and heavy collaboration with engineering teams, testing and support to insure successful implementation and sustainment which reduces risk to system availability.
Responsibilities:
- Support efforts necessary to supplement product development of features required by Federal customers such as Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
- Help to resolve issues and insure the project deliverables are completed on time.
- Conduct security assessments using in-house tools and industry standard tools.
- Interface with vendors, product development engineering, business and support teams to insure solutions will not have a negative impact on system performance, availability and serviceability.
- Assist with support of the lab systems to ensure components are configured and functioning properly and available to support testing and development activities as required.
- Provide support for field activities including implementation planning and deployment, assisting with troubleshooting/resolving issues.
- Assist with development of policies and training of support personnel as required.
- Provide Tier 2 support for Federal Service supported products and services.
- Ensure all deliverables are produced as needed for successful field deployment for initial install and subsequent updates.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of professional experience OR 5+ years of professional experience in lieu of degree.
- Knowledge of multi-factor authentication implementation, Active Directory and authentication across platforms extremely helpful.
- Ability and willingness to learn complex technologies.
- Ability to gather and analyze data, reason logically and creatively, draw conclusions and make appropriate recommendations.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong interpersonal skills to assist and communicate with staff and clients.
- Experience with Windows (client and server) and Linux Operating Systems.
- Some basic networking concepts.
- Experience with ASTRO systems a plus.
- Experience in software development a plus.
- The potential candidate will be required to complete Standard Form 89 Questionnaire for National Security Positions.
- Minimum of 3 years recent experience in fielding and supporting Information Technology Systems.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of experience in Engineering, Information Systems, IT, Networking, Computer Science, or Cybersecurity OR 5+ years of experience in Engineering, Information Systems, IT, Networking, Computer Science, or Cybersecurity.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract.
