Overview
The Desktop Engineer is responsible for the build, operation, and maintenance of the Enterprise image for both physical and virtual end-user devices. This includes creating, automating, and maintaining the current version of Windows imaging and imaging process. The Image Management Engineer will create and implement automated processes for software deployment using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and other application systems.
***Hybrid = Individuals in this position may work both at an approved off-site location and onsite at a primary location or multiple locations based on business needs
Responsibilities
Essential Functions
  • Responsible for planning, building, testing, scheduling, coordinating, and deployment of all enterprise image
    builds and release activity using SCCM or other deployment tools.
  • Maintain knowledge of emerging image management technologies
  • Maintains solid understanding of ITIL methodologies and systems
  • Experience developing roadmaps for technology initiatives
  • Assist with validation, testing, and documentation of outcomes for ongoing system changes and updates
  • Support hardware deployment including receiving, staging, imaging, and deploying workstations
  • Develop and document resolutions to common Help Desk issues and workflows and make recommendations for
    process improvements
  • Logs all support issues accurately and in a timely fashion using departmental tools and processes
  • Ensures all actions, job performance, personal conduct and communications always represent Joint Tech in a
    highly professional manner
  • Possess and demonstrate team-minded behaviors, conflict management strategies, and adaptability to new ideas
Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION :
• High School diploma or equivalent + 5 years experience building, operating, and maintaining device imaging with two or more CompTIA Certifications (A+, Network+, Security+, Server+, etc)
  • Bachelor's Degree in an IT related field + 2years experience building, operating, and maintaining device imaging.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE :
• 2 years (with Bachelor's degree) practical experience building, operating, and maintaining device imaging.
  • 5 years (with HS diploma/eq) building, operating, and maintaining device imaging
    with two or more CompTIA Certifications (A+, Network+, Security+,
    Server+, etc)
Licenses and Certifications:
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) ITIL Foundations v4 within 6 Months
