Software Engineer

Kavaliro is seeking a Software Engineer to support a client in Chantilly, VA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing JavaScript/HTML/CSS web UIs using the Angular framework, including experience, or knowledge of, additional web UI frameworks, such as React and ExtJS.
• Developing web services, to include REST APIs, Spring MVC, and Spring Boot.

• Demonstrated experience in technical project management with full lifecycle software development.
• Demonstrated experience estimating and managing software development schedules and deliverables.
• Demonstrated experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Demonstrated experience developing detailed software design and associated deliverables.
• Demonstrated experience designing new system interfaces.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating, supporting, and participating in program meetings and reviews.
• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining constructive relationships among customers, stakeholders, technical teams, and contractors.
• Demonstrated experience developing single page applications using HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, TypeScript, and Angular 2+.
• Demonstrated experience developing RESTful services using Java 8+, Spring Framework 4+, and Spring Security 4+.
• Demonstrated experience working with non-relational database systems such as DynamoDB (other on-the-job database experience accepted).
• Demonstrated experience with and troubleshooting of Internet/Web-related protocols and technologies (e.g., Tomcat, Node.js, web services, and SSL).
• Demonstrated experience developing Junit and Jasmine tests and experience with testing platforms such as Jest or Karma.
• Demonstrated experience working with DevOps tools, such as Git, Jenkins, and Nexus.

• Customer location in Chantilly, VA.
• This position is onsite and there is no remote availability.

• Candidates must have an active TS/SCI security clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph.
