Field Engineer
SummaryDescription: The basic function of the Field Engineer is to use computersoftware to create detailed technical drawings and plans for marine andindustrial construction projects, conduct surveys (pre-construction, duringconstruction, and post-construction), gather information and data, providelayout, create drawings, perform inspections with written reports, and assistin the various phases of marine and industrial construction projects. This rolerequires a strong understanding of marine engineering principles, excellentattention to detail, and proficiency in CAD (computer-aided design) softwareand in using surveying equipment.
WorksiteLocation(s): The company headquarters is in Harvey, Louisiana. Most of our work, however, is performed at remote worksites along theMississippi River, south of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, or at our own yard inHarvey, Louisiana, but we sometimes operate in other geographical areas.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 18+ years of age.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must be able to pass a drug-screen.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation.
- Must pass be able pass a fit-for-duty examination.
- TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
- Eligible to enroll in the DISA program.
- Proficient in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Proficient in land surveying equipment.
- Associate or bachelor's degree or diploma in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a structural or mechanical Drafter (preferably at an engineering firm).
- Certification from ADDA (American Design Drafting Association) or similar institution.
