Summary:
Focus of work is to increase sales to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency while achieving the goal of providing the highest quality service to our clients. Responsibilities include creating new opportunities, estimating, and closing contracted commercial and residential maintenance sales bids. Enforces all company policies and procedures. Works in coordination with other managers and reports directly to the Director of Business Development.
Scope and Impact of Job:
This position may require the employee to perform all, but not limited to, the tasks listed below.
- Sales and Customer Service
- Identifies new business opportunities.
- Develops relationships in the community and with business associations, including attending networking events.
- Develops relationships with potential and existing clients requiring landscape services, including arranging meetings with decision makers.
- Generates and provides potential and existing clients with an accurate scope of work, action plan, and/or proposal that reflects their aesthetic interests and the cultural characteristics of their property.
- Communicates with potential and existing clients on a regular basis to ensure that expectations are being met, including responding to concerns and requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Partners with Branch Managers and production team to produce accurate estimates and pricing for landscape service bids.
- Assists Branch marketing and sales efforts, including partnering with internal and external resources.
- Produces presentations and materials that enhance the appearance of landscape service bids.
- Ensures required data is entered and kept accurate in the customer relationship management (CRM) system.
- Human Resources/Safety and Training
- Assists in the on-going orientation and training/safety program and ensures that all team members are trained according to company policy based on Company Handbook.
- Ensures the timely and proper reporting and handling of employee job-related personnel or vehicle related accidents, injuries or illnesses. Ensures proper completion of all related paperwork.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Related work experience
- 3+ years of sales or project management experience
- Experience in agriculture, horticulture, and/or landscape industry preferred
- Supervisory or management experience preferred
- Formal education or equivalent
- Bachelor’s Degree in business-related field preferred
