Casechek is on a mission to innovate the implant supply chain and bring greater transparency to the cost of patient care. From procurement to payment, Casechek automates workflows for vendor supported surgical procedures. Our emergent Bill Only Solution provides a comprehensive system of record for Hospitals and Health Systems to manage the complexity of surgical cases with implantable medical devices, expose hidden expenses and surface revenue opportunities.


We are seeking an Engineering Manager who enjoys solving market problems and has a passion for new technologies. In this role, you will be using modern cloud-based technologies to build a solution that automates and provides transparency to a complex supply chain. You will work with a team of talented developers to release new products while continually growing and expanding your expertise.

About You

  • Technical: Possess a strong background in engineering principles and hands-on developer experience with AWS infrastructure and TypeScript based development, providing a solid foundation for leading technical teams.
  • Proven Leader: Exceptional leader with the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide teams toward achieving outstanding results, fostering a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment.
  • Strong Communicator: Excel in communicating complex technical concepts with clarity, facilitating smooth collaboration within the team and effective communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor members of the engineering team, ensuring high performance and productivity.
  • Define project objectives, manage timelines and resources, and ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Foster collaboration and communication within the team and across departments.
  • Identify and address technical challenges to ensure project success.
  • Implement best practices to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Evaluate team performance and contribute to the professional development and growth of each team member.
  • Participate in the recruitment process to identify and attract top engineering professionals.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technologies for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on managerial experience leading software engineering teams.
  • Experience architecting, designing, and developing testable, fault tolerant, and performant software.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with TypeScript.
  • Experience interacting with and developing REST APIs.
  • Experience working and troubleshooting an AWS delivered SaaS product.
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in a dynamic work environment, embrace change, and foster effective collaboration within cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
