COMPANY OVERVIEW: Our client is the leading provider of replacement expansion joint systems, penetration seal systems and HRSG duct/liner replacement systems sold to power plants.

POSITION TITLE: Engineering Manager

LOCATION: Houston, Texas

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Oversee the planning, designing, and execution of engineering projects, as well as collaborating with other managers and clients as needed to ensure the efficiency of all engineering processes.

Duties Or Responsibilities

  1. Manage and lead a team of project engineers providing guidance, mentorship, and direction to ensure that all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  2. Oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of all projects.
  3. Continuously evaluate engineering processes for inefficiencies and make recommendations for improvement.
  4. Identify potential risks in projects and implement preventative measures to mitigate them.
  5. Ensure all projects comply with the necessary regulations and quality standards.
  6. Effectively allocate resources, including personnel and materials to ensure project deadlines are met consistently.
  7. Work closely with other department leaders to ensure coordination across project teams.
  8. Provide detailed engineering status reports to upper management as required.
  9. Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  10. Travel may be required to learn about our products and environment, as needed.

Experience And Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  2. 10+ years of engineering experience, industry-related experience is desired.
  3. Knowledge of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and industry.
  4. Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Results-oriented mindset with a keen attention to detail.
  6. Must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines.
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  8. Must be able to shift priorities and multitask as needed.
  9. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
