Description
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Senior Digital Engineer to join our team in developing advanced nuclear detection, radiography equipment, chemical and biological sensing instruments, and satellite sensor systems. The ideal candidate will work on research and development activities, supporting early scientific research and transitioning products to production.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the development and testing of FPGA designs for various sensor systems
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplined design team to integrate DSP applications for System on a Chip (SoC) implementations
- Analyze, design, and implement HDL test benches for code validation
- Perform FPGA PCB bring up and hardware testing in a lab environment
- Contribute to design reviews and technical troubleshooting activities
- Perform data analysis and write technical reports
- Potential travel to customer sites as required
Basic Qualifications
- B.S. degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related field with 6-8+ years of relevant experience
- Proven course-work in FPGA or ASIC designs and Digital design using VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog
- Must be a US Citizen
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree with 4-6+ years of relevant experience
- DSP algorithm development background including coding in Matab/Python
- Experience leading small teams on projects
