What You’ll Be Doing
We are looking for a candidate who can simplify a complex user workflow and solve customer pain points from the frontend. You will create the interface for users to manage complex mission operations for hundreds of satellites, including taking pictures, beaming broadband/cellular, or docking with another satellite.
You’ll be working alongside other frontend developers on an engineering team that includes backend and platform developers, collaborating daily in an Agile Scrum environment.
Tech Skills:
- Experience writing React components in Typescript and using React frameworks like Next.js, Refine (or Blitz.js / RedwoodJS)
- Experience building 2D and/or 3D visualization capabilities to support representation of complex missions or data sets
- Experience with using UI libraries like Ant Design, Chakra, or Bootstrap
- Capability to design work in Figma and collaborate amongst stakeholders
- Knowledge of API concepts and the ability to fetch data with GraphQL and REST
- Experience with identity and access management via Auth0 or Okta and understanding of cloud security best practices
- Familiarity with Git and GitHub or similar frameworks for version control
- Experience with test frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, Chai, Cypress, and/or Jasmine
Soft Skills:
- Product ownership and eagerness to understand customer experience and measure usage
- A high standard for software maintainability, quality, resilience, and performance
- Strong cross-functional communication between a backend team and product manager
Background Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent practical experience
- 4+ years of professional experience in frontend development. Professional experience can be replaced with a self-starter who has drive, the technical skills, and is obsessed with their product.
ITAR REQUIREMENTS:
- To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
