Mechanical Drafter / Designer

Job Title: Drafter - SolidWorks (Contract)
Contract Duration: 3-6 months (with potential for full-time employment)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Drafter to join our team on a contract basis for 3-6 months, with the potential for a full-time position. The primary responsibility will be to convert existing design files into SolidWorks format. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drafting and experience with SolidWorks software, along with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:

• Convert existing design files into SolidWorks format.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure accuracy and completeness of converted files.
• Review and analyze technical drawings to understand specifications and requirements.
• Maintain organized records of all converted files and revisions.
• Assist with any necessary modifications or enhancements to existing designs.
• Provide support in troubleshooting and resolving design issues as they arise.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Drafter or in a similar role, with a strong focus on SolidWorks.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and other CAD software.
• Familiarity with engineering principles and design processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or higher in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
