Responsibilities
- Facilitate Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) as specified by the manufacturing unit.
- Coordinate and/or perform Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) for all significant failures in the manufacturing unit.
- Use downtime analysis in the development of identifying gaps where engineering solutions to repetitive equipment failures and other equipment problems can be used.
- The Reliability Engineer will coordinate the development, implementation, and review of the asset care strategy for each critical asset in the manufacturing unit.
- Interact with operators, crafts, planners, schedulers, associate leaders, and engineers on a regular basis to ensure the effectiveness of the PM/PdM system.
- Provide administration, control, and analysis of all data, records, and equipment histories to continually review and refine PM frequencies.
- Coordinate and provide training on PdM techniques.
- Development and refinement of the preventive/predictive maintenance program in a systematic manner.
- Act as the Reliability representative on the new equipment installation and equipment modifications to ensure that full life cycle costing, reliability, and maintainability are considered as part of the design.
- Assist in material number generation for spare parts and hierarchy changes as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in an engineering discipline).
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in reliability engineering in a manufacturing setting with a preference given to experience as an engineer on capital projects.
- Ability to communicate efficiently both written and orally.
- Certification as a CMRP (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional) and/or experience with SAP are a plus.
