Description
We are looking for a Software Engineering Manager who will serve in a dual role as a technical lead and manager. We are a small, tight-knit team delivering software solutions to multiple product lines across our fueling, grid solutions and electric vehicle charging businesses.
The ideal candidate has a strong commitment to software quality, is passionate about writing code in C++ and has some supervisory experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides technical and architectural leadership to the software development team
- Tracks and provides status updates on projects
- Leads product development initiatives
- Ensures all software engineering initiatives, projects and processes conform to the organization’s established policies and objectives
- Challenges and motivates design team to achieve project goals and execute product development process on schedule
- Communicates with customers to define requirements
Skills And Experience
- 5 years of experience in the field with some management experience (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent (required)
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience using defect tracking software and source control
- Project management and timeline planning/tracking experience
- Strong understanding of SDLC
- Experience of software development using Agile/Scrum processes/principles.
- Strong experience with C++ in a Linux/Unix environment
- Experience with SQL and XML
- Embedded development experience on ARM processors
- Expert level understanding of object-oriented design and development
