Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Okuma CNC Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in programming and operating Okuma CNC machines, as well as a strong understanding of machining processes and techniques. The Okuma CNC Programmer will be responsible for creating and editing programs, setting up and operating machines, and ensuring the quality and efficiency of production.
Key Responsibilities:

• Create, edit, and optimize programs for Okuma CNC machines
• Set up and operate Okuma CNC machines to produce high-quality parts
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Conduct quality checks on parts to ensure they meet specifications
• Troubleshoot and solve issues with programs or machines
• Collaborate with other team members to improve processes and increase efficiency
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines
• Keep up to date with new technologies and techniques in CNC programming and machining

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent, technical or vocational training preferred
• Minimum of 3 years experience in programming and operating Okuma CNC machines
• Proficient in G-code and M-code programming languages
• Strong understanding of machining processes and techniques
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Experience with CAD/CAM software
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime when necessary
