What you’ll learn & achieve:

As the Intranet Developer, you will play a key role in the rapid growth of the company as you:

  1. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define the architecture for the hub and spoke intranet system and develop a comprehensive design plan, including information architecture, site structure, navigation, and user experience.
  2. Work closely across both organizations and affiliate with IT to create an ongoing, improved intranet experience and strategy.
  3. Customize and extend SharePoint features and functionalities to meet the intranet requirements.
  4. Develop custom workflows and templates to enhance the user experience and streamline business processes.
  5. Integrate third-party tools, applications, and data sources with SharePoint to enhance functionality and connectivity.
  6. Build and configure the hub and spoke intranet system based on the defined architecture.
  7. Develop and deploy site templates, libraries, and lists to support the intranet's content management and collaboration needs and implement security measures and permissions to ensure data protection and access control.
  8. Monitor and troubleshoot issues providing timely resolutions and support to end-users and perform regular maintenance tasks, including system updates, patches, and backups to ensure optimal performance and data integrity.
  9. Conduct system audits and implement enhancements to improve intranet performance, usability, and user satisfaction.
  10. Provide training and documentation to end-users and content administrators on intranet best practices, functionality, and maintenance procedures.
  11. Create user guides, knowledge base articles, and other reference materials to support self-service and user adoption.
  12. Contribute to and/or lead other department-specific and cross-functional initiatives.

  1. Deep understanding of SharePoint architecture, web parts, workflows, and customization options.
  2. Proficient in SharePoint Designer, PowerShell scripting, and SharePoint REST API.
  3. Strong knowledge of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
  4. Familiarity with enterprise intranet best practices, information architecture, and user experience design.
  5. Experience with SharePoint Online, Office 365, and Azure Active Directory integration is desirable.
  6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Professional education and experience requirements for the role include:

  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in developing and implementing SharePoint-based intranet solutions.
