Position: Data Visualization/ Tableau Developer
Location: Basking Ridge, NJ (Hybrid)
Duration: 12+ Months (Extendable)
Pay Rate range: $50.00 - 60.00/hr on W2 without benefits
Tableau Engineer
The Data Visualization Engineer will work in IT – MARS Team (Metrics, Analytics, Reporting & Solutions ) and focus on building a variety of “Data Visualizations” across the board leveraging data from R&D Data Lake enabling “Data Driven” culture across all R&D. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in Tableau and certification in Tableau as well (Tableau Certified Data Analyst). This is a technical hand-on role, and we are looking for a sharp technical candidate who have an acumen for building reports / dashboards and drill downs.
Job Responsibilities:
Build Reports / Dashboards / Drill down in Tableau.
Create drill down / heat maps / box plots / charts / histograms in Tableau.
Implement conditional formatting of data, level of details, and calculated columns in Tableau.
Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data models meet analytical requirements.
Define and organize report models according to data type and consumer base.
Architect and design interactive, best in class and best practice-based Interactive Dashboards & Drill Downs.
Documentation and Release Plans using JIRA and Confluence.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s or higher degree in Data Science, Computer Science or a related discipline.
5+ years of experience in Tableau Data Visualization Tool.
5+ years SQL experience- writing complex queries / joins / unions / group by etc.
5+ years of experience with MS Word / MS Excel / JIRA & Confluence.
Good understanding of Databases (Red Shift / Oracle).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required.
Experience with Clinical Trials Data in a pharma/life science industry is a strong plus.
Tableau Certification (Tableau Certified Data Analyst) would be strongly preferred.
