Job Title: Mechanical DrafterJob DescriptionThe drafter will be responsible for creating detailed mechanical drawings and designs that are provided by mechanical engineers.ResponsibilitiesCreate detailed mechanical drawings and designs using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor).Prepare 2D and 3D models of mechanical components and assemblies.Develop layouts, schematics, and diagrams based on engineering specifications.Generate and maintain accurate and comprehensive technical documentation, including drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and specifications.Ensure all designs adhere to industry standards, codes, and regulations.Work closely with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and constraints.Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to improve designs and processes.Coordinate with manufacturing and production teams to ensure designs are feasible and cost-effective.Perform quality checks on drawings and designs to ensure accuracy and completeness.Revise drawings based on feedback and changes in project scope or requirements.Stay updated with the latest advancements in mechanical design and drafting technologies.Propose and implement improvements to design processes and tools.Essential SkillsProficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor).Experience in mechanical design and drafting.Familiarity with PDM systems.Ability to create 2D and 3D models of mechanical components and assemblies.Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations.6 months of experience with AutoCAD/Inventor.6 months of experience with PDM systems.6 months of experience designing around sheet metal.Additional Skills & QualificationsStrong attention to detail.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to perform quality checks on drawings and designs.Capacity to stay updated with the latest advancements in mechanical design and drafting technologies.Work EnvironmentThe work environment involves close collaboration with engineers and project managers.
