Hadoop Lead Developer

Job Responsibilities:

1. Design and architect large centralized data repositories (Data Lakes / Data Warehouses / Data Marts).
2. Hands-on experience with Hadoop and Cloud stack including metadata management, schedule management, and security management.
3. Utilize Apache NiFi, Spark, HBase, Hive, and manage security with Kerberos / Knox / Ranger.
4. Knowledge of data ingestion tools like Talend and Kafka.
5. Extensive experience with data modeling, data ingestion, data security, and data governance.
6. Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team in design and implementation of software components.
7. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and communicate implementation methodology, project milestones, and system functionality.
8. Create, maintain, and enforce standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions.
9. Act as a subject matter expert and make recommendations to internal teams and client stakeholders.
10. Interact with customer's IT and business stakeholders.
11. Prepare development estimates and respond to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs.
12. Mentor team members and take initiative in providing thought leadership, innovation, and creativity.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
2. Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in the relevant field.
3. Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with Hadoop and Cloud stack.
4. Excellent technical and team leadership skills.
5. Ability to communicate designs, thoughts, and ideas clearly based on the audience.
