Our client is an Engineering Design and Commissioning Company that has a national footprint and specializes in MEP critical facilities design. They provide design, commissioning, consulting, and management expertise in the Critical Facilities Space. For this role, you will manage and lead the engineering and design of facility and building systems for Data Centers and other Critical Facilities Projects. You will oversee all phases of project management/project delivery: design, quality control, staffing, and budget management (P & L) while following Industry Best Practices. An in-depth knowledge of the Client is essential for successful project execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Interface with clients to define project requirements and establish project work plans and deadlines.
  • Manage client relationships and expectations through effective communication.
  • Manage multiple projects; champion design reports; produce engineering proposals (RFPs); facilitate client meetings/presentations.
  • Track progress of projects against goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets.
  • Generate reports and track project costs and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor expenses to ensure they fall within the prescribed budget.
  • Manage project teams by providing direction and leadership.
  • Work closely with other functional areas, project contractors, internal/external team members, customers, and suppliers.
  • Understand and follow company policies and procedures.
  • Follow company strategy for market penetration.
  • Manage business development for new and future projects.
  • Ability to manage a team of engineers and technical staff.

Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience managing Data Centers/Critical Facilities Design Projects.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Architecture is a MUST.
  • P.E. license/AIA - either have these certifications or are working towards them.
  • Experience managing engineering projects in the engineering consulting industry, A/E, MEP arena.
  • Project management experience in the Consulting Engineering Industry.
  • Client relationship management and business development experience.
  • Effective communicator with strong organizational and reporting skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project and Excel, with the ability to create complex reports.
  • Previous military experience in Electrical/Mechanical fields is a plus.
