Cloudera is looking for a software engineer working on the Cloudera Data in Motion team. You will work with the core development team and focus on research and development in the Apache NiFi ecosystem. We value a variety of backgrounds and experiences.

As a Senior Staff Software Engineer you will:

1. Research, design, implement, and test new features and framework changes
2. Perform threat modeling, risk assessment, and vulnerability detection and analysis on NiFi application and related libraries
3. Work with multiple teams for application architecture and development
4. Provide expertise and advice to other application developers on the Data In Motion engineering team
5. Provide expert support to customers and field teams regarding scalability, networking, and security issues
6. Research industry developments and evolving threats to continue hardening platform

We’re excited about you if you have:

1. Experience building large, web-scale systems
2. Experience with Apache NiFi
3. Experience writing and reviewing multi-threaded and secure Java code
4. Experience identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities
5. Experience with Kubernetes and Go are a plus.
