Description:
This position is primarily responsible for researching, designing, and developing computer software systems, software system GUI, and designing software system structure in conjunction with hardware product development. This position is also responsible for coordinating with other software engineers to finish projects by performing the following duties.

Core duties and responsibilities include the following:

1. Analyzes image processing algorithm requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
2. Works with other teams to get accurate algorithm requirements.
3. Coordinates project development related to image processing algorithms.
4. Analyzes software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
5. Consults with hardware engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, and operational and performance requirements of the overall system.
6. Formulates and designs software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design.
7. Designs software structure and oversees the entire software structure.
8. Works on software projects independently.
9. Develops and directs software system testing procedures, programming, and documentation.
10. Consults with customers concerning maintenance of software systems.
11. Coordinates installation of software systems.
12. Studies and investigates new methods for improvement of product performance; evaluates new products and proposes improvements.
13. Coordinates with other software engineers to meet project progress and ensure projects can be finished on time.

Requirements:
For Staff Software Engineer:

• PhD in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or related fields with 3 years of experience with a focus on image processing, machine learning, etc.
• Strong background in GDS/OASIS Layout Design Analysis and Computer Geometry, with experience in design risk analysis as a plus.
• Solid experience in C#, C/C++ programming.
• Experience in Geographic Information Systems is essential.
• Knowledge in computer architecture or familiarity with semiconductor equipment.

For Senior Software Engineer:

• PhD in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or related fields with 3 years of experience, or M.A. with 6 years of experience, with a focus on image processing, machine learning, etc.
• Strong background in GDS/OASIS Layout Design Analysis and Computer Geometry, with experience in design risk analysis as a plus.
• Solid experience in C#, C/C++ programming.
• Experience in Geographic Information Systems is essential.
• Knowledge in computer architecture or familiarity with semiconductor equipment development.
