Principal Technical Services Engineer- Liquids
Summary
The Principal Technical Service Engineer- Liquids is responsible for high level Project Management in all aspects and functions of NWF product applications including but not limited to process assessing, trouble shooting, and training to meet customer’s needs while displaying leadership capabilities. The Principal Engineer also develops and implements internal procedures, mentors Interns and new Engineers, and collaborates within R&D and outside vendors to foster innovation while demonstrating the upmost integrity and credibility.
Essential Functions
- Perform high-level project management with key accounts.
- Develop mastery of all processes and equipment.
- Trouble shoot issues at the highest level.
- Mentor entry-level engineers and interns when applicable.
- Demonstrate significant innovation and improvement in process development.
- Develop and implement standards and protocols for Technical Services.
- Recognize and incorporate industry advances and technology.
- Apply delegation skills when appropriate.
- Treat all processing information as confidential; only accessible through the R&D project system.
- Perform other duties or special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Food Science; Chemical, Biological or Food Process Engineering, in addition to a minimum of 10 years related experience and/or training in Product Development, Food Processing Engineering, or related field.
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills and general knowledge of related computer skills
Work Environment
Standard laboratory and office working conditions.
Work travel as required (Domestic & International)
Periodic exposure to: (1) loud environment, (2) airborne particles with stronger odors associated with spicy food ingredients, (3) cold, hot, wet and humid conditions, (4) walking and standing on concrete, (5) climbing steps, ladders, (6) standing on elevated surfaces.
