Big Ass Balloons is a well-known balloon decor delivery company in Houston and Dallas. We hand-make all of our custom products (balloons, garlands, tassels, confetti, vinyl, streamers, mosaics, etc.) and deliver them to each customer's address or event location. Our small team of 15 creates and installs balloon arrangements for all types of events; Birthdays, Baby Showers, Bridal Showers, Corporate parties, Gender Reveals, Weddings, and much more, spreading joy all around town!
In this position, you will learn all the ins and out's of balloon garland creation and installation, the professional way, along with hand-making all of the accessories for our Big 36" Balloons (BABs) that we are most well known for! You will personally deliver and install each arrangement, sometimes by yourself and sometimes with other team members, depending on the size of the event.
We are looking to expand our awesome team of Production and Delivery Contract Team Members to better service our demand in central Houston, as well as the further out suburbs of The Woodlands, Galveston, Sugar Land, Webster, Friendswood, etc. If you live in a suburb of Houston, we will mostly assign you deliveries in that area but will still need you to deliver to Houston central occasionally, as this is where the majority of our demand is. Flexibility is the biggest perk of this position. You can craft the perfect schedule for yourself and have a great work-life balance!
Qualified candidates are creative, fun, hard-working, customer service savvy, and very organized individuals, not afraid to drive around town or break a sweat in the Houston heat with occasional outdoor balloon installations. You will make certain products in the comfort of your own home (or at our studio location if you prefer) and deliver them directly to the customer. This position can be part-time or full-time, depending on your wants/needs with your schedule, though it is a contract 1099 position.
Job Requirements:
- Weekday availability (Flexibility Monday through Friday - some delivers are in the morning, some are midday, and some are at night)
- Reliable vehicle and willing to drive 20+ miles on occasion
- Not afraid of heights (will be on ladders at deliveries occasionally)
- Lover of crafts and eager to learn a new one
- Organized with great time management
- Friendly/bubbly customer service attitude acting as the face of the company
- Experience in customer service or events is a plus
Remuneration:
Pay is based on the type of products produced + delivery. Your comfort and speed will determine how much you can make per hour. You can expect anywhere between $15-$25/hr within your first few months and possibly $20-$50+/hr once fully experienced over 3-6 months.
Additionally, a quarterly bonus structure is available to all employees!
