The Role

  1. Demonstrate the ability to lead technical efforts of teams engaged in complex equipment engineering development.
  2. Develop manufacturing process for Powertrain lines.
  3. Prepare and procure all items for station readiness for Powertrain line launches.
  4. Able to work cross-functionally with all disciplines involved in specifying and engineering Powertrain equipment.
  5. Work collaboratively with project team on all stages of Powertrain line development from conception to launch.
  6. Ability to efficiently implement engineering solutions on manufacturing equipment based on product design changes.
  7. Utilize analytic problem-solving skills, including knowledge of 8D, Six Sigma, DOE or similar certifications/ disciplines.
  8. Use of 3D modeling and simulations to validate equipment designs.
  9. Familiarity with equipment control systems, equipment I/Os and basic machine coding logic.
  10. Work with layout engineering to prepare and optimize Powertrain line layouts.
  11. Experience working with the following equipment: robotics, end of arm tooling, pick and place automation, position sensors, material handling, fluid dispensing, deflection analysis, vision systems, conveyor and laser cleaning/ metrology.
  12. Experience with Battery production lines, GD&T, leak test, Dielectrics, Hipot testing, Leak tests, End of line testing (HV/LV), AGVs, ASRS equipment, Vision with automated Fiducial offsets., CMM, OMM, leak test, adhesive dispense, accelerated curing, laser welding, Wire bonding, bar code reading, potting, HV testing, ASRS equipment, End of line testing, Adhesive applications.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's Degree in engineering required.
  2. 5-8 years in Powertrain Equipment/ Manufacturing/ Process Engineering Skills.
  3. Experience in the automotive Powertrain equipment design/ sustaining is a must.
  4. Ability to influence outcomes and drive initiatives in complex environments.
  5. Possesses strong presentation skills and communicates clearly and professionally at various levels both inside and outside the company.
  6. Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Catia and Delmia.
  7. Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
