IT Systems Engineer (Part-Time)

We are seeking an experienced part-time or contract IT Systems engineer to join our team through the end of 2024 with the potential to move into a full-time position in 2025. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing and troubleshooting complex IT systems. This role will work closely with the Director of IT on projects, network management, and administration of our Office 365 and Device Management systems while also assisting our managed service partner on any support tickets that may require escalation or on-site assistance at our offices in the Salt Lake City area and throughout the Southwestern United States.Responsibilities

• The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience administering Microsoft Office 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and InTune. This includes configuration of policies and troubleshooting issues.
• The Systems Engineer will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the organization's networking infrastructure including switches, routers, and other networking equipment.
• This role will be responsible for tickets escalated by our managed service partner that require additional or on-site assistance.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
• 3+ Years of experience as an IT Systems Engineer or similar role.
• Strong understanding of IT Systems, networks, and applications including Windows, macOS, and iOS operating systems.
• Proficiency in administering the Microsoft 365 Suite of applications.
• Experience troubleshooting issues with networking equipment including routers, switches, and access points.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and on-technical stakeholders.

• CompTIA A+ or similar certification
• Experience supporting field team members with mobile devices in blue collar trade fields.
