Senior System Engineer

A major law firm is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to manage daily operations and maintenance of information systems. The ideal candidate will evaluate and implement technologies to support business objectives. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days/week in the White Plains office

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead complex projects and coordinate technology implementations.
• Troubleshoot advanced technical issues and conduct in-depth research.
• Stay updated on industry best practices.
• Develop technical documentation and contribute to security policies.
• Oversee the installation of operational services and provide hands-on troubleshooting.
• Deliver 24/7 third-level technical support and manage resources responsibly.
• Communicate effectively to foster productive work relationships.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 10 + years experience in relevant technologies.
• Strong understanding of server-based operating systems and protocols.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows servers (IIS, DNS, DHCP) and virtualization (VMware ESX).
• Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, routing, switching).
• Experience with PowerShell scripting and Active Directory.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and modern authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth).
• Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and Citrix desktop virtualization.
• Preferred experience with multi-platform computing (Unix, Linux) and data center environments.
