This role will be developing solutions and extending COTS products for the Finance Treasury Department in American Express. The right candidate will be comfortable with developing, testing, deploying, and supporting secure software products, as well as extending or migrating existent software products. A growth mind-set, ability to learn fast, prioritize, and make decisions within the scope of responsibilities are key to this role.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, management of information systems, or equivalent experience and certifications.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, SQL, HTML, and CSS
- Proficiency in JavaScript Frameworks such as reactjs and nodejs
- Proficiency in Querying languages such as T-SQL or PL/SQL
- Proficiency in data structures and algorithms
- Proficiency in data modeling and data engineering
- Proficiency in GitHub, Jenkins (or equivalent), CI/CD.
- Experience with one or more Cloud technologies including IaaS, PaaS, DaaS, and XaaS
- Experience with the Testing Lifecycle, Unit Testing, SIT, Regression Testing, UAT.
- Experience with SSDLC
- Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with Generative AI applied to coding and testing.
Salary Range: $85,000.00 to $150,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
