Electrical Engineer - Resort Engineering & Design

As an Electrical Engineer , you’ll be pivotal in managing low to medium-voltage electrical systems that power our many assets throughout the resort. From initial concept to ongoing support, you’ll serve as the Owner’s Technical Representative, collaborating with a wide range of teams to ensure seamless execution of engineering projects. What You’ll Do:
- Project Management: Lead electrical system design and development from concept through sustainment, ensuring each project meets scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with in-house and external teams, acting as the Owner’s Technical Representative throughout the project lifecycle.
- Technical Expertise: Provide discipline-specific input on designs, review engineering drawings and calculations, and ensure projects comply with local and state codes.
- Field Support: Conduct site visits to troubleshoot issues, monitor installations, and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Documentation & Compliance: Develop construction documents, proposals, and workload estimates, and ensure all projects adhere to Resort standards and specifications.
What We’re Looking For:
Basic Qualifications:
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in electrical engineering, design, and implementation.
- Deep understanding of the California Electrical Code, IEEE standards (Brown, Buff, and Red books), and California Energy Codes (Title 24).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university or equivalent professional experience in electrical design and sustainment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Professional Engineers License (PE).
- Experience in lighting design and implementation (certification preferred).
- Previous experience in theme park engineering is a plus!

This position reports directly to the Manager of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing/Piping (MEP) Engineering within the DLR Architecture & Facilities Engineering team.
