Electrical Engineer - Resort Engineering & Design


Location: Anaheim, CA


Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer passionate about design, innovation, and hands-on implementation? Join our dynamic team and be part of the magic behind the scenes at one of the world’s most exciting destinations!


As an Electrical Engineer , you’ll be pivotal in managing low to medium-voltage electrical systems that power our many assets throughout the resort. From initial concept to ongoing support, you’ll serve as the Owner’s Technical Representative, collaborating with a wide range of teams to ensure seamless execution of engineering projects. What You’ll Do:


  • Project Management: Lead electrical system design and development from concept through sustainment, ensuring each project meets scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with in-house and external teams, acting as the Owner’s Technical Representative throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide discipline-specific input on designs, review engineering drawings and calculations, and ensure projects comply with local and state codes.
  • Field Support: Conduct site visits to troubleshoot issues, monitor installations, and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Develop construction documents, proposals, and workload estimates, and ensure all projects adhere to Resort standards and specifications.



What We’re Looking For:


Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in electrical engineering, design, and implementation.
  • Deep understanding of the California Electrical Code, IEEE standards (Brown, Buff, and Red books), and California Energy Codes (Title 24).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university or equivalent professional experience in electrical design and sustainment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Professional Engineers License (PE).
  • Experience in lighting design and implementation (certification preferred).
  • Previous experience in theme park engineering is a plus!

This position reports directly to the Manager of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing/Piping (MEP) Engineering within the DLR Architecture & Facilities Engineering team.
