Job Summary
This position is a hybrid role that will be based at our headquarters in Fremont, California.
Here Is a Glimpse Of What You’ll Do
- Manage and lead a team of DevOps engineers, providing guidance, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and identify opportunities for skill development.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive DevOps strategy aligned with business goals, focusing on automation, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and infrastructure as code.
- Collaborate with senior management to define key performance indicators (KPIs) for DevOps success.
- Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement in the software development lifecycle and operations processes.
- Drive the adoption of infrastructure as code (IaC) practices to ensure consistency and repeatability.
- Evaluate, implement, and manage DevOps tools that enhance productivity and efficiency, such as configuration management, containerization, orchestration, and monitoring tools.
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure that DevOps practices adhere to organizational security policies and compliance requirements.
- Define and implement proactive monitoring and alerting systems to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Lead incident response efforts, conduct post-incident reviews, and implement improvements based on lessons learned.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a DevOps or related role, with at least 4+ years in a managerial capacity.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, CI/CD practices, and agile principles.
- Proficiency in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Demonstrated experience with containerization and orchestration platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience with implementing and managing DevOps toolchains and monitoring solutions.
- Deep knowledge of security best practices and the ability to integrate them into the DevOps process.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or equivalent, are a plus.
- Master's degree preferred.
