The Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Division of Administrative Services is recruiting for an Analyst Programmer 3/4 (.NET Developer-PCN 111613) located in Anchorage, Fairbanks, or Juneau!

What you will be doing:

Are you a tech-savvy problem solver with software development skills? The Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADFG), Division of Administrative Services, is looking for a .NET developer to join our team and drive our projects to success.

  • Develop new and maintain existing web applications as part of a small team of .NET developers.
  • Assist with the modernization of existing desktop applications into a Microsoft web-based environment.
  • Participate in the migration and maintenance of applications to Microsoft Azure technologies.
  • Collaborate with teammates using Azure DevOps to gather system requirements architect end state solutions.
  • Work closely with team members to develop new division technology standards and services.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a candidate that has experience in the following areas:

  • Experience in C# with the ASP.NET Framework.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Ability to communicate technical issues and ideas verbally and in writing to an audience of all technical levels.

Minimum Qualifications

Analyst/Programmer 3

Two years of computer programming experience in a recognized computer language. One year of this experience must have been in a business application, scientific application, microcomputer or computer information management support specialty.

Substitution:

A bachelor's degree with a major in Computer Science (CS) or Computer Information Systems (CIS), or a related degree with (18) semester/(24) quarter hours of CS or CIS may substitute for one year of the required experience. An associate's degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems may substitute for nine months of the required experience.

Special Note:

An applicant who is considered under theSubstitution above qualifies to apply for this job class IF the applicable coursework is completed within three (3) months of hire.

Analyst/Programmer 4

Four years of computer programming experience in a recognized computer language. One year of this experience must have been in a business application, scientific application, microcomputer or computer information management support specialty.

A bachelor's degree with a major in Computer Science (CS) or Computer Information Systems (CIS) or a related degree with (18) semester/(24) quarter hours of CS or CIS may substitute for one year of the required experience.
