Division Information The PACCAR Technical Center provides engineering excellence to the truck, engine, and winchdivisions of PACCAR Inc through innovative product development and testing. The TechnicalCenter is located in the Skagit Valley about 65 miles north of Seattle, Washington. Tooling isprovided. Job Functions/Responsibilities Support current product issues and new product development Perform laboratory evaluations to determine physical and chemical properties of materials Prepare clear, concise laboratory reports for material and component testing and investigations Evaluate test methods and results using rigorous statistical methodology Design test fixtures and develop test methods with support of senior engineers Work with design engineers, quality engineers, and suppliers to develop test plans and conduct testing. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor of science in materials engineering, or related engineering field Working knowledge of at least one of the materials areas of responsibility listed for this position, including knowledge of manufacturing processes Working knowledge of part assembly methods and secondary operations Working knowledge of statistics and sampling 1-5 years' experience working in a related field, preferably in the automotive or transportation industries.
