Team Introduction

The Network Security team is on the mission to build innovative and enterprise-level network security products and solutions, to protect online businesses from being interrupted by cyber attacks. We're a group of people passionate about challenging the status quo to solve the real world's cybersecurity problems effectively and efficiently. We set audacious goals and strive to achieve them. Responsibilities

1. Design and build network security products, including but not limited to DDoS Defense, Web Application Security, Bot Management, Network Detection and Response, etc with high standards;
2. Support Bytedance businesses with custom built network security solutions to meet compliance and security requirements;
3. Support network security products for external customers.

Qualifications

1. Self-driven problem solver with great communication and collaboration skills.
2. PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other relevant majors, with at least 3 years software development experience in the cybersecurity domain.
3. Hands-on experience of TCP/IP network programming.
4. Familiar with network protocols, such as IP, TCP, HTTP, etc.
5. Familiar with XDP, or eBPF.

Job Information:

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $136800 - $205000 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
