Lead Engineer - Maintenance & Reliability

Seize the opportunity to advance your career with a leading chemical company as our Lead Engineer for maintenance and reliability. In this pivotal role, you'll oversee the care and optimization of both fixed and rotating equipment at our plant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Reliability Strategies: Formulate and enhance reliability strategies tailored to business needs, including managing critical spare parts inventory, improving the preventive maintenance (PM) program, and creating comprehensive asset care plans.
  • Maintenance Oversight: Lead mechanical maintenance efforts for all equipment not covered by the Mechanical Integrity (MI) program.
  • Coordinate Improvements: Implement changes in equipment and processes to boost overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), yields, reliability, and quality.
  • Cost Analysis: Evaluate maintenance costs and repair frequencies, using OEE loss analyses to identify and rectify underperforming assets.
  • Team Leadership: Manage cross-functional teams focused on Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Six Sigma projects, and equipment improvements.
  • Reporting: Prepare monthly reports on the status of maintenance, reliability activities, and ongoing capital projects.
  • Work Order Execution: Ensure high-quality work order management and prioritize daily/weekly maintenance schedules.
  • Incident Investigation: Lead RCA investigations for significant reliability incidents, assigning leaders and resources as needed.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a Reliability/Maintenance Engineer in a PSM-regulated chemical plant.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance, mechanical integrity, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Skills: Proficient in RCM, RCA, Six Sigma, and CMMS programs.
  • Eligibility: Must be able to work now and in the future without sponsorship.
