The Role
The Director of Hardware Engineering will lead teams of engineers in research, design, development, and commercialization of new products. As a founding member of the Hardware team, you'll help drive innovation and build a world-class engineering team. The products you will help bring to market will transform and disrupt industries.
What you'll do:
- Leading Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Special Projects Group (SPG) team
- Implementing advanced product development quality processes
- Driving technical execution across a full-stack electric vehicle platform (battery systems, power electronics, charging, chassis, and system integration)
Skills to be successful
- Proven experience leading hardware teams to develop electric vehicle related product development
- Demonstrated execution on delivering real products at scale – not vaporware
- Ability to lead, mentor, manage a broad team of engineers
- Resource planning and communication
Nice to have:
- Heavy-duty/off-highway vehicle electrification experience
