Senior Project Manager - Municipal

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Municipal team in our Lake Oswego office.

The typical salary range for this position is $124,000 to $163,000 , based on experience. This is a full-time role that comes with a comprehensive benefits package.

At PACE, we deliver a wide array of civil engineering services for municipal projects. Our municipal projects primarily focus on water and sewer utilities and may also include stormwater management, watershed planning, road and sidewalk design, parks and trails, public works facilities, stream restoration, environmental restoration, and parking lots/structures. Our municipal engineers also serve as Engineers of Record for special-purpose districts or designated City Engineers for local municipalities and assist municipal clients on an on-call basis.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated with a proactive attitude and deep technical expertise. Strong communication skills, proven leadership experience, and a seller-doer mindset are essential for this role.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage Projects:
    • Successfully manage projects for budget and schedule and adjust work effort to ensure work is completed.
    • Exhibit strong project management skills, including the ability to develop scopes of work, schedules, and budgets while effectively coordinating staff and sub-consultants to ensure project success.
    • Review design and production deliverables ensuring industry standard of care and compliance with PACE standards and policies.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Apply intensive and diversified knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices in broad areas.
    • Serve as a technical advisor to other staff.
  • Proven success in business development:
    • Establish clientele and professional relationships.
    • Play a key role in continued growth for the company by identifying and developing new clients and projects.
    • Contribute to creating proposals and prepare and participate in interviews as needed.
  • Supervise:
    • Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties and delegated tasks.
    • Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
    • Mentor, teach, and help develop a successful career path for employees.

Education/Experience/Licenses:

  • BS – Civil Engineering
  • Oregon State PE License
  • Ten plus years of experience in Civil Engineering as a PE
