Required Skills & Experience
Shift: Swing Shift (2:00 pm - 10:00 pm Monday – Friday)
- Experience as a Mechanic or Machinist at the journeyman level
- Experience in machine shop math skills to perform calculations and machining processes - Experience with manual machining
- Ability to interpret shop blueprints and dimensions/tolerances using Fanuc & Haas controls, tool pre-setters, Renishaw Probes
Job Description
- Lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long hours
- Utilize fixtures and work holding methods, set up procedures, and machining sequences to complete parts.
- Manipulate controls and enter commands to set tool length and origin offsets.
- Measure work pieces for conformance to specifications using instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, and various gauges.
- Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and productivity, including editing G and M code, adjusting speeds and feeds as needed.
- Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure proper functioning.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and timelines.
- Identify and communicate any issues or concerns regarding machine performance or product quality.
- Maintain accurate documentation of machining operations, including production logs and inspection records.
- Work independently to prioritize and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
