QA Engineer

Job Title: Senior QA & Automation

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Software QA Engineer to take on a Testing role for the quality assurance of a family of our Enterprise products, focusing on the virtualized environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Build and execute manual and automated test cases, analyze and report test results to development and product teams.
2. Develop build automation of existing and new projects to facilitate the development of a full continuous integration environment.
3. Work with other engineering teams to facilitate a common approach to continuous integration that includes build automation, test automation, and deployment automation.
4. Take an active role in the planning and implementation of the QA team’s strategy and process improvements.
5. Setup and maintain the testing environment in relevant environments including AWS and/or other cloud services.
6. Perform testing of the products, test/resolve customer reported issues related to the products, report bugs, maintain the bug database as well as write and execute test plans and test cases.
7. Provide mentoring and technical leadership to a team of SQA Engineers.
8. Actively participate in product design as the QA representative: work with the Product Owner throughout the development cycle in providing definition, development and deployment of the products’ quality assurance, addressing all phases of product development.
9. Provide effective communication regarding issues, objectives, initiatives and processes to plan.
10. Participate in “customer issues” meetings and work with Technical Support in addressing customer issues.
11. Other duties as assigned.
12. Must have experience of working in offshore-onshore model.
13. Experience with release process.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

1. 7+ years of SQA experience.
2. 3+ years of experience with Robot Framework.
3. Experience with testing and QA of cloud services is highly desirable.
4. At least 3 years of Experience with functional/regression test automation frameworks with such tools as Karma, Jasmine, Storybook, Cypress, Selenium, Jest, PostMan, Test Project or Katalon Studio.
5. At least 1 year of Experience with programming languages such as Node.js, Python, Java.
6. Technical competency and experience with single page web applications, microservices, REST APIs and authentication services is a must.
7. Proficiency in at least one programming language or technology including, but not limited, to Node.js, Python, Java, C/C++, Python, Javascript.
8. Proficiency in REST API testing.
9. Must bring strong experience implementing a formal QA infrastructure (procedures, processes, documentation) that assures the delivery of high-quality products, on time, within budget and according to specifications.
10. Strong planning skills and ability to write accurate and detailed test cases and test plans.
11. Must work well under pressure in a multi-tasking environment with rapid development life cycles.
12. Attention to detail a must.

EDUCATION:

BS or BA, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
