System Performance Engineer

Job Title: System Performance Engineer

Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for collecting and using hourly and daily service measurement data to optimize the LTE and 5G networks.
2. Responsible for optimizing large venue/stadiums and integrating additional RF sources to provide service in large events.
3. Monitor event performance in real time and address issues as needed.
4. Produce Network Performance Reports for Engineers and Management.
5. Represent the team for feature related projects, new node integration, and other centralized tasks by meeting deliverables and holding other parties accountable per project plan.
6. Troubleshooting hardware and performance problems independently or by coordinating with other teams.
7. Supporting Network Performance in evaluating and improving areas of poor coverage by identifying system performance problems.
8. Reporting issues to appropriate engineers.
9. Resolving customer service issues, assisting in implementing solutions, and collecting drive test data in support of performance evaluations and build program prioritization.

MUST HAVE SKILLS (Most Important):

1. Expertise with 5GNR (High, Medium and Low bands) and LTE technologies, including VoLTE and RAN network performance.
2. Knowledge of Ericsson systems including ENM and RAN equipment.
3. Experience with performance reporting tools and methodologies with the purpose of identifying customer impacting issues, and optimizing cellular network performance.

DESIRED SKILLS:

1. Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or scripting tools.
2. Experience with tools such as RTT, DMAT, TrueCall, Airwave.
3. Knowledge of Ericsson RAN systems and metrics.
4. Data analytics experience, using tools like Tableau.
5. Experience with Root Metrics data collection and reporting.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor's degree or four or more years of relevant work experience.

OTHER:

1. Candidate should have valid driver's license and be able to use their vehicle to collect data and perform field visits in the Bay Area as needed.
2. Years of Experience: 7-10 years.
