Senior Network Engineer

4 days ON-SITE IN BURBANK, CA

Seeking a Senior Network Engineer with a minimum of 3 years' experience in engineering and operations within a Studio, ISP, or Major Enterprise network operating in a 24/7 environment. While standard business hours apply, the candidate must be available for after-hours work, weekends, and holidays, and provide L3 on-call support on a rotating basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and support multi-vendor network environments (Juniper, Arista, Cisco, Brocade, Palo Alto, F5, Infinera, Ciena).
• Implement and maintain large-scale, mission-critical networks ensuring high availability.
• Support public cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Establish monitoring and alerting systems for production environments.
• Apply knowledge of network theory and services (TCP/IP, UDP/IP, OSI model, DNS, DHCP).
• Demonstrate mid-level expertise with protocols including VXLAN, STP, ISIS, BGP, EVPN, and MPLS.
• Work with networked storage technologies (NAS, SAN) and I/O technologies (Fiber Channel, InfiniBand).
• Maintain network hardware including firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers.
• Understand video streaming theory and related standards.
• Provide exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Apply network security principles and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., JNCIA, CCNA, CCNP).
• Experience with virtualized network environments and network scripting/automation (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
• Strong hands-on experience in WAN, LAN, and MAN environments.
• Familiarity with third-party interfacing and network connectivity.
• Proven ability to implement scalable and secure VPN environments.
• Experience with media production environments.
