Job Title: Cyber Data Engineer (Remote)

Duration: 34 weeks.

1. Gather requirements from data source owners to identify data feeds, device/network locations, and connectivity requirements, data feed segregation, and source/destination IPs for network firewall ticket if necessary.
2. Identify if access for operational teams will be needed for post onboarding to perform connectivity tests between ingestion platform and devices.
3. Onboard Data Sets into Cribl Development Environment and create Processing Pipeline for devices.
4. Complete first pass QA of Cribl provided pipelines for processing devices.
5. Output Data Sets to Sentinel and the Raw data store.
6. Deploy data sets to production (HC Team will manage deployment; Contractor will work with source owners to migrate devices).
7. Confirm onboarding of all devices.
8. Plan for minor refactors based on SIEM/Soar monitoring findings.
9. Evaluate Data sets for data accuracy and operational effectiveness.
10. Document Data Dictionary for all Data sets.
11. Identify possibly valuable data field extractions for operational effectiveness and develop operational processes and runbook for data feed monitoring and metrics tracking.
