The Role
As an early member of our engineering team you will play a key role in the design and commercialization of our energy systems. You will oversee the systems engineering team to ensure product requirements are achieved, solve complex multi-disciplinary engineering problems, and ensure the successful integration of mechanical, electrical, power, thermal, and control systems into an elegant and functional work of art.
What you'll do:
- Drive program direction, milestones, and deliverables
- Ensure accountability and ownership within the team
- Implement, coach, and run design quality activities such as DFMEAs, DVPs, ICDs, and R CAs.
- Guide technical direction for complex engineering challenges
- Collaborate with program management on setting/tracking milestones and deliverables
- Hire, lead, mentor a team of engineers
- Perform, oversee, and train detailed requirements management including tool chain, analysis, decomposition, communication, tracking, and compliance across the product.
Skills to be successful
- Bachelors in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering
- Previous experience in requirements management
- Strong Organizational and Change Control Management
- Ability to quickly adapt to change
- Demonstrated execution on real products at scale
- Knowledge of high power electrical systems
- Strong understanding of Energy Systems
