CNC & NC Machine Setup & Operate P&R with Fork Truck Exp.

Our client is currently seeking a CNC & NC Machine Setup & Operate P&R. The core hours are 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.
What you'll do:

• Setup and operate NC and CNC machines and any conventional machines in the Casting Cells to perform a variety of turning, drilling, tapping, boring, reaming, threading, forming, facing, milling, slotting, grooving, chamfering, serrating, and deburring operations to produce a variety of explosion-proof parts of various materials
• Operate machines include, but are not limited to, single-spindle and multi-spindle drill presses and tappers; milling machines; parts washers; and deburring grinder
• Refer to assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and machining blueprints to maintain tolerances.
• Set controls and perform other manual data input functions as required, review operation data sheets, parts program, tape readouts, and prints, and change collets and/or chucks; load and unload parts; load, unload and adjust tools as necessary
• Check first piece using fixed or adjustable gauges; gauge periodically and visually inspect all parts for appearance and compliance to specifications; correct for any discrepancies.
• Maintain a supply of materials to machines and remove finished work as necessary to establish a flow through the cells
• Operate fork truck to facilitate own work or to move material around department as required
• Maintain work area, machines, and control units in a clean, neat, and orderly condition and follow 5-S's principles

• Minimum two (2) years of previous work experience in CNC machine setup and operation
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Syracuse, NY will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

• 3+ years of work experience with NC & CNC machine setup and operation
• Fork Truck experience

• Ability to read and understand blueprints, charts, and tables
