Job description

We're looking for a skilled Electrical and Automation Engineer. The chosen candidate will design, implement, and maintain electrical and automation systems that support our manufacturing processes. This role demands expertise in electrical engineering, automation technologies, and programming languages, as well as the ability to optimize processes for efficiency, reliability, and safety.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Design electrical systems, including power distribution, control panels, and wiring layouts, to meet project requirements and regulatory standards.
  2. Select appropriate electrical components (sensors, actuators, switches, circuit breakers) based on performance specifications and application needs.
  3. Create electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation using CAD software (AutoCAD, EPLAN).
  4. Develop automation solutions, including PLC programming, HMI design, and industrial networking configurations.
  5. Integrate automation systems with existing equipment to improve efficiency and quality.
  6. Configure and commission automation systems for proper functionality and connectivity.
  7. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and automation issues.
  8. Collaborate on system upgrades and modifications.
  9. Provide technical support and maintenance for electrical and automation systems.
  10. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations (NFPA 70E, ANSI/RIA risk assessments) and promote safety awareness.

Key requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in electrical system design, automation engineering, and industrial control systems.
  3. Proficiency in PLC programming languages (ladder logic, structured text) and HMI development tools (Siemens TIA Portal, Allen-Bradley Studio 5000).
  4. Strong knowledge of electrical components, power distribution systems, and industrial automation technologies.
  5. Experience with industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP, PROFIBUS).
  6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  7. Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
  8. Familiarity with safety standards, regulations, and best practices for electrical and automation systems.
