Who You Are
As a part of our continuous focus on offering high performance and cutting-edge products and solutions, the field of high voltage insulation materials and systems as applied to power converters and power supplies is of critical relevance. As such, we seek highly talented, motivated, creative, and experienced Electrical Engineers who combine experience and expertise in insulation materials, systems and techniques and general knowledge of power converters.
What You Will Do
You will be immersed in the Engineering product design and development environment, and will work with other experts on the team to carry out systems engineering activities from concept, requirements, design, development, and testing of state-of-the art Power Electronics, Power Conversion, high voltage, and high voltage X-ray Generators for various medical and industrial applications. Every day will bring a new challenge, but in general you can expect to:
  • Create and manage system-derived and decomposed requirements
  • Capture Stakeholder Expectations (customer requirements)
  • Develop system-level requirements, and allocate them to architecture elements (system, hardware, software)
  • Support the development of hardware & software requirements
  • Support the development of interface control documents
  • Support the development of verification test plans & procedures
  • Generate and maintain a Requirements Verification Matrix
  • Coordinate design and validation requirements changes, deviations, & waivers
  • Support the development and review of design documents
  • Work collaboratively with engineering teams (firmware, software, hardware, testing, and mechanical engineering) to develop overall solution test plans and procedures
What You Need
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field
  • 4 years of experience in an engineering role, at minimum
  • Prior experience designing power electronics & power conversion
  • Proficient in requirements development, verification, and validation for power conversion or power electronics systems
  • Understanding of basic converter topologies
  • Understanding of analog circuits
  • Familiarity with digital electronics
  • Experience designing switch mode power supplies is beneficial
  • Knowledge and experience in highly regulated industries is preferred
  • Knowledge and experience in power systems, technical requirements, and certification processes and requirements (industrial, medical, etc.)
  • Experience with applicable engineering tools and systems (i.e., system modeling and requirements management tools)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to contribute and lead in a team environment
  • Experience in program or project leadership in an engineering environment
  • Hands-on experience (design verification, troubleshooting and bench work)
  • Circuit simulation skills are a plus (Cadence desirable)
  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA) skills are a plus

Our good faith estimate of the salary range for this role is $101,000 - $120,000. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and other factors. In addition base pay, we offer a full benefits package.
