Facilities Operations Engineer

PAY RANGE
The Target Pay Range for this position is $40.05-$48.89 hourly. The full Pay Range is $31.06-$57.98 hourly. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year.

As a Facilities Operations Engineer at BECU, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all our facilities operate smoothly and efficiently. Your expertise in managing facility maintenance, repairs, and operations will directly influence the functionality and appearance of BECU’s locations, enabling teams to focus on serving our members. You'll be trusted to lead important projects, coordinate with various vendors, and ensure that everything from security systems to building standards are maintained at the highest level.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Lead Facility Maintenance:
You’ll oversee the maintenance and operation of all BECU facilities, ensuring they function optimally and look their best.Hands-On Repairs and Preventative Maintenance:
You’ll take the lead on physical tasks, from preventive maintenance to repairs and reconditioning across all our locations.Manage Pre-Scheduled Maintenance:
You’ll create and oversee maintenance schedules, coordinating with Security and ensuring all updates are shared using approved communication methods.Oversee Operations Projects:
From vendor scheduling to cost proposals, you’ll drive facility-related projects through to completion, ensuring everything runs smoothly and on budget.Maintain Building Standards:
Collaborating with custodial, landscaping, and other service providers, you’ll ensure that BECU facilities maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and appearance.Facility Inspections:
You’ll conduct regular inspections and audits of our facilities, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring compliance with standards.Support the Service Request System:
You’ll manage and utilize our service request software, responding to internal requests and ensuring timely resolutions.Assist with Budget Planning:
You’ll contribute to our annual facilities budget planning, helping to allocate resources efficiently and plan for future needs.Vendor Coordination:
You’ll manage relationships with vendors, making sure all service work is performed to our standards, scheduling vendors, and approving job costs to ensure timely completion of projects.Procure Supplies & Manage Inventory:
You’ll handle the procurement of facility-related supplies and support our inventory management system.Security & Access Systems Support:
You’ll support our physical security programs by managing keys, locks, and other access systems, ensuring our secured locations remain safe.On-Call Support:
As needed, you’ll provide support during non-business hours to respond to urgent issues.Disaster Recovery Plans:
You’ll participate in BECU’s disaster recovery planning, ensuring that facilities operations are well-prepared for emergencies.Additional Duties:
You’ll take on various other responsibilities as assigned, always contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of our operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Facilities, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
At least 3 years of experience in facilities engineering, property management, or a similar field.
Valid Washington State Driver’s License and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report according to BECU’s evaluation standards.
Desired Qualifications:
Certification in Facilities Management/Engineering.
Possession of an electrical 07 license.
Ability to read and understand blueprints and related drawings.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with the mobility to move large objects.
Available for full-time hours and additional hours as needed.
On-call availability for non-business hours to address urgent issues.
Excellent project management skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
